Theoretics is a trusted partner for qualitative market research endeavors — recruitment, project design and management, moderation, analysis.

Myles Karp, founder

As a qualitative researcher at Flamingo New York, Myles helped demystify people and culture for some of the world’s biggest brands, from YouTube to Smirnoff. He then undertook a foray into nature journalism, writing about plants and animals (but especially tropical fruit) for the New York Times, National Geographic, and Smithsonian, as well as researching, developing, and consulting on television programs for National Geographic and Vice.

As a freelancer in the research & strategy realm, he’s built a steady roster of clients who entrust him with the setup and execution of their products — with a particular focus on recruitment and project management. Theoretics is the formalization of this practice.

Myles holds degrees in anthropology and cognitive science from the University of Pennsylvania and Oxford University, and is based between New York, Florida, and Costa Rica.
